Khimik players from Dzerzhinsk continue preparing for the start of the spring part of the 2023-2024 season. The team from Dzerzhinsk showed excellent results at the summer-autumn stage of the championship, when they became the best in group No. 2 of the Second League “B”. The black-greens went a long way at one level in 17 matches and suffered only one defeat, losing in an away match against the reserve team of St. Petersburg Zenit. In the remaining matches, “Khimik” steadily collected their points and, 2 rounds before the finish, secured the championship.
Since mid-January, Khimik players have been working at training camps. Now the third educational and training cycle is underway, which is taking place in Adler. On February 20, the black and green will play in the next control match. This time “Khimik” will face opponents playing in the First League. Dzerzhinsk football players will face Neftekhimik, which went into the winter break in the First League, occupying 11th place. The last head-to-head confrontation between Khimik and Neftekhimik took place in 2016, when the current members of the First League won with a score of 5:0.
