Kazakhstan announces austerity regime to help flood victims

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced a strict regime of saving public funds in the country.

The saved funds are supposed to be sent to citizens affected by the flood and to provide them with the necessary assistance.

Tokayev, quoted by his press service, said that residents will be paid compensation, and those who have lost their housing will be given the amount to restore or repair it.
