Kazakhstan did not confirm information about the death of its citizens in an accident in the Ulyanovsk region

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, said that, according to preliminary information, Kazakhstanis were not on the list of those killed or injured in the accident in the Ulyanovsk region on the M5 highway. Earlier, TASS reported that among the dead were citizens of Kazakhstan.
“According to preliminary data from the headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Ulyanovsk region, there are no citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan among the dead and injured in the accident,” the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
August 21 on the M5 highway between the settlements of Novospasskoe and Nikolaevka, Ulyanovsk region faced a private Mercedes bus and two trucks. According to official information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 14 people died in the accident. According to news agencies, the death toll has risen to 16 people.
