“There is absolutely no need for new waves, any new waves of mobilization,” he said.
On September 5, Kartapolov, commenting on the fake “order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation” spreading on the Internet on additional mobilization, stated about the lack of need for mobilization. “All tasks are carried out as part of the active recruitment of contract military personnel,” he said.
As part of the partial mobilization that took place in Russia from September 21 to October 31, 2022, 300,000 people were called up from the reserves. In the fall of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that this issue was “done.” However, no additional documents were signed on the completion of partial mobilization. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov explained that the decree on mobilization provides not only conscription, but also other measures, so the document continues to be in effect.
