Kartapolov explained the action plan when receiving an electronic summons while on vacation

The head of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Andrei Kartapolov, said that when receiving an electronic summons while on vacation, you need to notify the military registration and enlistment office about the inability to come on the summons, and also inform the date of arrival.

“He must specifically notify the military registration and enlistment office that he cannot come, and write in this notification when he will arrive. There’s no need to go, there’s no need to freak out, but you need to give notice, because otherwise there will be a lot of questions later,” the deputy said “RIA News”.

Earlier, Andrei Kartapolov said that the distribution of electronic summons for this year’s spring conscription will take place in test mode. Before the start of the work of the register of persons liable for military service, the paper summons is the main one. Deputy admittedthat a person may receive both a paper and electronic summons during the spring draft. According to him, “there’s nothing wrong with that.”

In April 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the creation of a unified military registration register, which allows conscripts to be notified using electronic summonses. The summons is considered served from the moment it appears in your personal account. From this day on, the conscript is prohibited from traveling abroad; after 20 days, other restrictions will be imposed on him – on driving a car and processing real estate transactions.

From January 1, 2024, the upper limit of conscription age in Russia was raised to 30 years, while the lower limit remained at 18 years. The spring military conscription began on April 1 and will last until July 15.
