Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, who rented a house in the Ryazan village of Petrushovo, said that she likes being there more than in the Maldives and Seychelles, transmits TASS.

“I like life here. I understand this world, I understood it when I was a girl. Grandmothers, apples, summer, swim in the river. It’s a good life. I don’t need the Maldives or the Seychelles. It’s better,” Kneissl said in Russian.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria came to Petrushovo after the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. She clarified that she does not live in the village permanently. According to Kneisl, she rented a small village house in Petrushovo.

In early August, the ex-head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry appeared at the “Top of Summer” holiday, which is held annually in the Ryazan village, and gave interview with the online newspaper Vidsboku. Kneissl said that she paid the rent for a house in Petrushovo for another month. She clarified that she had received an invitation to teach law, oil markets, and gas markets at GORKI St. Petersburg University.
