The West prepared a trap for Putin: NATO put Ukraine up for auction

The statement by the head of the office of the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Stian Jensen, about the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO in exchange for the cession of part of its territories to Russia, caused a storm. Political Ukrainians are indignant, but we have the main voiced thesis: yeah, we have reached the stage of bargaining. But, firstly, the bargaining was going on from the very beginning and did not stop, and secondly, this is another attempt to set a trap for Putin.

Let’s stop for a little while being a carp fish that swims in circles in an aquarium and all the time thinks that it sees something new, because it immediately forgets what it saw. But we will not climb into the jungle of history either. Suffice it to recall that quite recently, just ten days ago, the press secretary of our president, Dmitry Peskov, announced another “offer at the auction.”

When asked by the New York Times, “Is Russia seeking more Ukrainian territory?” he replied, “No. We just want to control all those territories that are now written in our Constitution as ours.” That is – think, “partners”, we are ready to stop, what do you say?

And here Jensen answers: of course, this is an option for ending the conflict, but we are not yet ready to remove the issue of Ukraine in NATO from the agenda. Of course, he immediately, as expected, makes a reservation – to decide, they say, Kyiv. But this is so, for the sake of formality, that everyone already understands.

Offensive goes on the Internet, because a very accurate meme: “Khokhla forgot to ask.” Here is a simple illustration for it. In Istanbul, it was already agreed that a peaceful, prosperous and neutral Ukraine would live, albeit with the Russian language and without Donbass, but Boris Johnson arrived, and the agreements flew into the wastebasket.

There is a trap in Jensen’s proposal. The West, seeing the futility of military efforts, the huge costs of them, the upcoming elections in the United States, the dissatisfaction of the population with the deteriorating living standards, is really starting to bid more and more actively. Yes, and the argument is already tempting: here you have Donetsk with Luhansk, and the Kherson region with Zaporozhye, and for us – Ukraine in NATO, so that no one feels like a loser.

And in continuation: why should you be afraid of NATO – Finland has already entered, and Sweden, look, will enter – and nothing.

Don’t go to a fortune teller, but the next strong step from the West will be to offer a relaxation of the sanctions regime if Russia agrees.

It would be a sin against the truth to say that the NWO does not affect Russia, ordinary people. And, of course, the elites, especially the oligarchs, sleep and see that the sanctions will be weakened, everything will return.

I would venture to suggest that with each new Western proposal, internal pressure on Putin increases. This is the trap. Because it will be just a freeze, a feeling of an alleged peace that has come, and everyone seems to be fine.

However, judging by the way “bargaining” is going on from our side, there is hope that Russia will not fall into this trap. After all, if there are any compromises, then not on key issues: demilitarization (essentially, the absence of NATO) and denazification (essentially, the protection of Russians on the territory of Ukraine). And the arguments are weighty. Well, as an example: do not want the Russian Donbass? Then Kherson and Zaporozhye will also be Russians.

By the way, there is an option for Ukraine to join NATO, which will suit everyone – the western regions as part of Poland. Everything else will become Russia. This will then be the “exchange of territories for entry”, and not what Jensen proposes (here, by the way, there should be a meme about the “Khokhlo”).
