Karatekas from Kaliningrad and Sovetsk excelled in the open Cup of Russia in Kyokushin

The Moscow Martial Arts Center hosted competitions in one of the most difficult and tough varieties of karate – Kyokushin. Almost 2,000 children from 46 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as from the Republic of Belarus, Serbia, the Republic of Turkey, and also from Tajikistan took part in the sporting event.
In addition, athletes from Kaliningrad and Sovetsk also had the honor to compete. This was reported by the press center of the government of the Kaliningrad region.
As a result of the Cup of Russia, athletes from the Amber Territory Egor Vakarchuk, David Fartovy and Sofia Komarnitskaya weighing up to 60, up to 40 and up to 35 kilograms received the coveted prizes in bronze.
The champions were: Namig Babaev weighing up to 45 kilograms and Artyom Plachas weighing up to 70 kilograms. Both athletes had four fights. Spectators watched the tense fights all the time. Recall that on March 4 and 5, 2023 in the capital it will be possible to observe open competitions among veterans with the participation of Kaliningrad fighters.
