Karasin: Russia has not yet received visas from the United States to participate in the UN General Assembly

The Russian delegation, which is going to the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, sent a request for American visas, but there is no answer yet. This was announced by the head of the International Committee of the Federation Council Grigory Karasin.
The UN General Assembly will begin on September 19.
“We just asked, it’s too early to talk about it,” the senator said.
He also stressed that members of the Russian delegation are waiting to receive visas before departure. Karasin recalled that the United States had previously resorted to this method of delaying the issuance of visas.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has been appointed head of the Russian delegation to the UN General Assembly.
