Kaluga sambo wrestler Vladimir Dosyak won a ticket to the world championship. Armavir hosted the Russian sambo championship, which became a selection for the national team for the upcoming world championship, the Ministry of Sports of the Kaluga Region reports on Monday, September 19.
“More than 600 sambists took to the carpet. Vladimir Dosyak, a pupil of the sports school of the Olympic reserve “Youth” and the honored coach of Vladimir Georgievich Kutyin, became the winner in the weight category over 88 kg. The sambo wrestler outplayed an athlete from Moscow in the final bout,” the ministry said.
The department expressed feelings of pride for the Kaluga citizen and wished him further heights.
The World Sambo Championship will be held in Armenia on October 13-17.
