Kaluga athletes entered the Russian team. Kazan hosted the All-Russian tennis competition “Olympic Hopes of Russia” among boys and girls under 17, the regional Ministry of Sports reports on Tuesday, January 17.
86 applicants from 25 constituent entities of the Russian Federation entered the courts for medals and tickets to the national team.
In singles, according to the results of the competition, Maria Tenase, a pupil of the Kvant sports school from Obninsk and the Honored Coach of the Russian Federation Vladimir Krasnorutsky, won the ninth line of the protocol among athletes under 17 years old. Thus, the Kaluga girl got into the main list of the national team of the country.
Maria’s peer and partner in training in the first Russian science city, Denis Navolokin, reached the 1/16 final stage and also ended up in the reserve team of the country.
