Kaliningrad boxer, master of sports from Mamonovo Dmitry Shefer became the bronze medalist of the Russian Cup. The competition took place in the Samara region.
According to the press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region, 104 athletes from 39 regions of the country took part in the tournament. The Kaliningrad athlete competed in the weight category “up to 63.5 kilograms”. Schaefer won the quarterfinals against an international master of sports of Russia from the Chechen Republic with a score of 5:0.
In the semi-finals, the Kaliningrader lost to the international player from St. Petersburg, which, according to the regulations, allowed him to take one of the two third places in the tournament.
Previously “MK in Kaliningrad” reportedthat the Master of Sports of Russia from the Sports Training Center for National Teams of the Kaliningrad Region, Elena Zuykevich, became the bronze medalist of the All-Russian competition.
