Concern “Kalashnikov” reported on the start of supplies to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation of a new model of combat equipment “Strelok”. Deliveries are carried out by LLC Triada-TKO, which is part of the concern.

It is expected that by the end of 2023, more than 25 thousand sets of the new model of combat equipment will be supplied to the Russian army.

“The Strelok consists of a Corset Plus body armor of protection class Br5 with a weight distribution system, additional protection modules, a set of pouches, a 30-liter backpack and a transport bag,” says the Kalashnikov press service.

In August, during the Army-2023 forum, the developers of the complex told, that it is designed “to successfully protect against shrapnel and armor-piercing bullets.” According to representatives of the Kalashnikov concern, the Strelok is created from several layers of non-woven material, which provides protection against shrapnel, and is also equipped with bulletproof protection in the chest and back sections. The body armor weighs about 12 kilograms, with additional protection modules the weight is about 20-plus kilograms.
