The water level in the Kakhovka reservoir remains at around six meters, and the exact area of the dried part will be determined after the completion of the shoaling process. This was announced by the head of the Melitopol district of the Zaporozhye region, Andriy Siguta, in an interview with reporters.
“The reservoir has not completely dried up, water is still present at a level of six meters. We regularly take water samples several times a day. In addition, there is water in the canals, and constant analyzes are carried out. People who previously received water supply from a group water supply are connected to alternative sources, mainly through wells,” Siguta said.
He noted that the exact area of the dried-up part of the reservoir has not yet been calculated.
“We are waiting for the end of the water level decline to make appropriate decisions. At present, it will just be a waste of time,” the official added.
