Kadyrov condemned the action after Friday prayers in Moscow – Kommersant

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, condemned the actions of several dozen Muslims who, after Friday prayers, marched through Zamoskvorechye in protest over security raids in Kotelniki and Dzerzhinsky. Mr. Kadyrov drew attention to the fact that such actions are becoming a hearth “for artificially inflating the topic by foreign agents paid for by the West.”

“Today, an unauthorized rally of Muslims, including migrants, took place in Moscow in protest against the actions of the security forces in Kotelniki and Dzerzhinsky. I will say right away that I do not support such spontaneous initiatives, even if they are carried out with a good purpose, ”Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in Telegram.

According to him, unauthorized actions can lead to negative consequences in addition to breaking the law. In his opinion, during the actions there will always be “paid instigators” who provoke riots. Ramzan Kadyrov stressed that if a decision is made to hold a rally, then it is imperative to notify the authorities about this.

On the afternoon of July 21, after the Juma prayer (Friday prayer), several dozen young people walked from the mosque, located along Bolshaya Tatarskaya Street in Moscow, and further along Zamoskvorechye. On various media projects published in Telegram channels video recordings some young people can be heard shouting “Allahu Akbar”.

State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Mikhail Matveev commented on the procession in his Telegram channel. “I’ll send, perhaps, a deputy’s request: why are the police and the Russian Guard becoming so timid when it comes to migrant pseudo-religious (actually extremist) marches and rallies in Moscow?” he wrote.

July 20 Investigative Committee of Russia informedthat employees of the TFR and the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted searches and raids on the facts of organizing illegal migration in Kotelniki near Moscow. According to the agency, in the course of operational activities, the police checked more than 150 migrants, five of whom were in the Russian Federation illegally. Searches were carried out at 26 addresses.

On July 7, in Kotelniki, the security forces already carried out a similar raid, but he touched not on enterprises where migrants work, but on a local prayer house. OMON officers burst into the Muslim center, located at 5/3 Dzerzhinskoye Highway, and behaved rudely, did not allow the prayer to be completed, Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Moscow Region, told Kommersant. Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov criticized the actions of law enforcement officers and called them a “provocation” and a violation of the rights of Muslims.
