The West-Akhmat battalion has been in the region since June and is tasked with preventing the infiltration of saboteurs. At the end of November, Ramzan Kadyrov statedthat another 3 thousand Chechen fighters are ready to be sent to the combat zone in Ukraine. He clarified that they began service as part of new units of the Ministry of Defense and the Russian Guard.
