Kadyrov announced his readiness to send 3 thousand Chechen fighters to Ukraine

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that three thousand Chechen fighters are ready to be sent to the combat zone on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, they have already begun service as part of new units of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Russian National Guard.
“I was personally convinced of this by visiting the formation of personnel of two new regiments subordinate to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation – AKHMAT-Russia and AKHMAT-Chechnya, as well as the Sheikh Mansur battalion. Soldiers of the new operational battalion named after Baysangur of the Benoevsky North Caucasus District of the National Guard troops were also present here,” the head of the republic wrote in Telegram.
Ramzan Kadyrov said that most of the fighters of the new units have experience in participating in military operations. According to him, they were trained by instructors at the Russian Special Forces University. They are already ready to go to the combat zone, the head of Chechnya added.
On the creation of the battalion named after Baysangur Benoevsky Ramzan Kadyrov reported at the end of October. The unit became part of the structure of the Russian Guard. According to him, it consists of 300 fighters. Baysangur Benoevsky (1794–1861) – Chechen military leader of the 19th century, participant in the Caucasian War, imam, active participant in the rebellion of 1860–1861. Several streets in Chechnya are named in honor of Baysangur Benoevsky. In 2020, one of the districts of Grozny was renamed in his honor.
Also at the end of October, the head of the Chechen Republic announced the creation of a battalion named after Sheikh Mansur. State Duma Deputy Adam Delimkhanov statedthat the formation was headed by the former deputy commander of the Sever battalion, Ruslan Geremeev, who was involved in the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov. Sheikh Mansur (1760-1794) – leader of the people’s liberation movement of the highlanders of the North Caucasus in 1785-1791.
