Jump off the WHO: will Russia leave this organization

Three days ago, the World Health Organization celebrated its 75th anniversary. It was created shortly after the Second World War in 1948 by the UN member countries and reflected the then concept on what principles and principles the world health care should be built on. The Soviet Union was one of its founding fathers of WHO, but now rumors are circulating with might and main that Russia urgently needs to leave this ambiguous structure. How reliable these rumors are, MK found out.

Few people know that the World Health Organization owes its existence to China. What parent refuses their child?

Officially, it was Zeming Sze, a participant in the UN Conference on International Organizations, who began lobbying for the creation of such a structure back in 1945. As a result, a declaration was adopted calling for the formation of something similar, and three years later, WHO became the first UN specialized agency to which all members of the United Nations joined. It happened on April 7, 1948.

The goals were the most good and kind – to fight infections and poverty, with the availability of medical care in third world countries, to improve the health of mothers and children, the environment and the quality of nutrition. In general, for everything good and against everything bad.

It is clear that little of this came true.

“From the very first days of its existence, WHO can be assessed as an instrument of political manipulation, bringing public health systems to a common denominator, which by no means set itself the goal of achieving the highest level of health and well-being for every citizen,” believes Inna Yambulatova, Secretary of the Hippocratic Medical Forum.

Over the years of its existence, the WHO has experienced several deep crises, when it seemed – a little more, and the organization will order to live long. The Soviet Union left it under Stalin, however, then returned under Khrushchev. The United States immediately put its own interests above the declared universal ones. And now WHO is funded by individuals and foundations. Their goal, first of all, is to make money – it’s understandable.

The fight against malaria and tuberculosis turned into zilch. Poverty has not disappeared either.

The only thing that can be credited to WHO’s victories is the victory over smallpox, which we are told was eradicated by 1980. But even here, not everything is so clear-cut.

In the era of the coronavirus, WHO tried to become higher than states and governments, a kind of supranational structure that commands kings and presidents, executes and pardons, declares pandemics and quarantines and fights them with all its might (and the means received). And humanity is marching in the same ranks, where health officials will order it. Of course, for the purpose of general security, which should become higher than the rights and freedoms of the individual.

So far, the “new world reality” managed by the WHO has lasted three years. And now Russia is facing a crossroads – since we are already under a heap of sanctions, why not break with the WHO at the same time?

“My opinion is that it is necessary not to leave, but to suspend membership in the WHO at the level of an ultimatum, until the influence of private structures on the financing of this interstate organization is completely excluded,” says Alexander Saversky, public figure, president of the League of Patients. – Individuals with their own interests should not have influence on the policies of entire states.

– Do you mean the Bill Gates Foundation?

– And not only. There are several such structures that have made it possible to declare a pandemic and intimidate the whole world without its official announcement. They must be held accountable for this. Nevertheless, the term was used on the WHO website and at the WHO General Assembly. By the way, do you know what the declared purpose of WHO is?

– It seems that everyone reaches the highest level of health?

– Yes, but this cannot be achieved only by medical measures. WHO must begin to manage the factors that affect health. Why create their register, assess harmfulness and usefulness, respectively, there should be programs to stimulate useful factors and combat harmful ones.

WHO, on the other hand, has accumulated its activities at the level of vaccinations and the fight against smoking / alcohol – this is completely unnatural. In fact, now we have the World Organization for the Protection of Diseases, which is sharpened and receives money for some profitable projects. All national health systems are set up for this too. The more diseases, the more money.

– Hence the signing of the Pandemic Agreement, as well as amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR), which can actually lead to the fact that every two years there will be another “terrible and deadly” virus, new threats to humanity are announced, requiring the introduction of unprecedented measures , quarantines, border closures, mass testing, vaccination campaigns, and so on… On the other hand, if Russia suspends WHO membership, what will we have in return? In our country, after all, all medical standards are taken from there, and the ICD (International Classification of Diseases) is also WHO.

– We must understand that medical standards were buried long before today, and Russian scientists are already excluded from all scientific societies due to sanctions. Therefore, we will not lose anything. Everything has already happened. We are no longer involved in the standardization process.

But no one prevents our scientists from using the standards that are published and adapting them for their own purposes. Yes, there are rumors that some new organization may appear instead, I have outlined its principles to you – no private funding, and this should be tightly controlled by the states, it should be an interstate structure that receives and spends money solely on improving health of the population and not to protect diseases. But if this is done by the same people who interact with WHO and have done what they have done, then any undertakings are useless and meaningless.
