In the new academic year, schoolchildren will receive a history textbook with chapters on the causes of the special operation

History textbooks, which reveal all the reasons for the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, will appear in Russian schools by September 1, said Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov. The release is planned for this summer.
“Just the other day I was reading material about the Battle of Stalingrad, which will be in the textbook. Just to goosebumps – and about the commanders, about our military exploits. I also read the section related to the special military operation: it reveals all the reasons for the start of the SVO,” said Mr. Kravtsov. “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
The Minister added that the textbook is being developed under the guidance of Assistant to the President of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov and historian, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Chubaryan.
“What is important? First, at the center of history is Russia. Secondly, we are moving towards uniting the general history and the history of Russia into a single course. Thirdly, history in it does not divide, but unites,” the head of the Ministry of Education described the manual.
The textbook, according to Mr. Kravtsov, should turn out to be interesting, modern and interactive, so that from its pages one can “get, for example, into the Victory Museum or read the available materials of the Ministry of Defense.”
