Journalist Idris Yusupov, in whose house in Makhachkala today passed search, no charges were brought, the Dagestan publication reported “New Business”. The search took place as part of the case of unrest at the Makhachkala airport, in which he was a witness. After the searches, he was taken to the building of the republican department of the Investigative Committee.
During the search, equipment and phones were confiscated from him. He is a witness in the case of the riots, although the journalist did not participate in them and followed what was happening through social networks, the publication reports.
Idris Yusupov is a journalist and social activist from Dagestan. He went out with single pickets in defense of Chernovik journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev and historian and specialist on the Caucasian War Hadji Murad Donogo.
The night before, hundreds of Dagestanis gathered at Makhachkala airport to prevent Israeli citizens flying from Tel Aviv from arriving in the country. The protesters broke through the cordon and entered the terminal and walked onto the runway where the plane was parked. Four police officers were injured, two of them in serious condition with traumatic brain injuries. There were 150 active rioters at the airport, 60 of them were detained.
