The author of the investigation into the sabotage at Nord Stream, American journalist Seymour Hersh, commented on the publication of the New York Times newspaper, which says that some pro-Ukrainian group is allegedly behind the attack on gas pipelines, whose plans were not known to Kiev.
According to Hersh, in this way the US government is trying to divert attention from the article he wrote and in which there were many specifics that American divers installed explosives under the Nord Streams, and the Norwegians activated it three months later.
“The Ukrainian Navy can drop mines, but they don’t have a diving chamber,” Hersh told Chinese TV channel CGTN, adding that experts are needed both in underwater work and experts in the use of C4 explosives, who must train for weeks and months.
