Italy pointed out the lack of discussions about sending troops to Ukraine by the West

Western countries have never discussed the issue of sending their troops to Ukraine, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Radio 24.

“We never talked about sending troops to Kyiv. The other day there was a meeting [представителей] G7 featuring [госсекретаря США Энтони] Blinken, sending troops was never discussed, ”- said he (TASS quote).

March 10, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in an interview with radio station Kossuth declaredthat some Western countries are close to sending their troops to Ukraine.

“The world has never been so close to a local war escalating into a global one, the leaders of the Western world are sick with war fever, they are making speeches in support of the war, that more victims are needed, that more deadly weapons should be sent to Ukraine,” – Orban said.

According to him, there is a possibility that the soldiers of countries allied to Ukraine will also take part in the hostilities.

On February 16, the Polish edition of Onet announced the beginning of the formation in Ukraine of the first Polish special unit as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The next day, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Pavel Yablonsky declined to comment on the publication, stressing that the Polish military was not taking part in the hostilities in Ukraine. He explained that Warsaw supplies military equipment to Kyiv, helps to train the military, and also sends humanitarian aid.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to the Ukrainian army. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned that pumping Ukraine with weapons brings NATO closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash with Russia. Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that NATO is not party to the conflict.
