Journalist Anton Krasovsky reported hospitalization – Kommersant

Russian journalist Anton Krasovsky reported that he was in the hospital. Ukrainian media claim that he was poisoned.

Mr. Krasovsky told in Telegram, that at the beginning of the week his stomach “sharply twisted, he began to feel sick, then he lost consciousness.” “They took me to the clinic. I’m gradually coming to my senses. Thank you all for your participation,” wrote Mr. Krasovsky. He also published a photo of himself, presumably from the ward.

The Kyiv Post, citing a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR), claims that Anton Krasovsky was poisoned. The publication’s unnamed interlocutor said that the journalist’s condition was deteriorating, and the messages on his behalf were not written by him.

RT Chief Editor Margarira Simonyan today, December 25, statedthat Anton Krasovsky “just called” her. According to her, he is coming to his senses; she did not provide other details.

In October 2022, on the air of his Antonyms program, the journalist called for “drowning” and “burning” Ukrainian children. RT after this suspended cooperation with Mr. Krasovsky, and he himself insisted that he was “really embarrassed.”

In February 2023, a trial in Ukraine in absentia sentenced Anton Krasovsky to five years in prison under articles on public calls for genocide and the overthrow of the constitutional order (Part 3 of Article 109). In July, the Security Service of Ukraine again charged him in absentia under the article on public calls for genocide (Part 2, Article 442 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
