John Lennon’s killer receives 12th parole denial

The application for parole, which was filed by Mark Chapman, who in 1980 shot the musician of the British rock band The Beatles John Lennon, was rejected by the commission for the 12th time. As noted, the man appeared before the parole board at the end of August this year. He received his 11th refusal during a hearing in 2020. The next meeting of the commission on his case will be held in February 2024.
Recall that Chapman shot Lennon on December 8, 1980 near Central Park in New York near the entrance to the building called “Dakota”, where the British musician then lived with his wife Yoko Ono. The perpetrator received a life sentence with the right to apply for parole after 20 years.
