Jealous man got 12 years for ex-wife rape: it’s not a crime

Guest worker pleaded guilty only partially
The verdict for a visitor from Tajikistan, who raped and tried to kill his ex-wife in 2021, was passed by the Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow. The woman, escaping, jumped out of the window and somehow miraculously survived. When the police arrived at the address, it turned out that there were two more captives in the sadist’s apartment!
As MK previously reported, the incident occurred on the night of December 7 on Shelepikhinskaya Embankment. A 28-year-old native of Tajikistan named Tolibdzhon locked his ex-wife and two of her friends in an apartment and tied him up with tape. He then severely beat and raped his ex-wife. Fleeing from the villain, the victim jumped out of the window of the 4th floor. Tolibdzhon overtook her and inflicted multiple stab wounds, after which he fled. The woman was saved, and the police officers who arrived at the scene found two unfortunate girlfriends tied up in the apartment.
As it became known to MK, Tolibdzhon told investigators that in 2016 he worked as a laborer in St. Petersburg. At work, he met a certain Amir, who showed him a photograph of his sister Zeenat. Tolibdzhon was inflamed with passion for her, and after a while, having received approval from her parents, the couple played a wedding in their homeland. The young people had a daughter. In 2018-2019, the newly-made husband was hiding from being drafted into the army and again came to the Russian Federation. In 2021, the family reunited, but after two weeks of living together, the wife and the child moved out of Tolibdzhon because of his insane attacks of jealousy. In December, shortly before the incident, the couple met several times at metro stations, but the negotiations came to a standstill: the man was jealous of his wife, and she did not want to live with him. The last straw, according to the guest worker, was that at the request of Zinat he transferred 10 thousand rubles to her, and then received another refusal. The very next day, he broke into a woman who shared shelter with two friends, tied them up, and then outraged the unfortunate woman. From the very beginning, Tolibdzhon admitted his guilt in part: in his opinion, he did not commit rape, since he considered Zinat his wife.
According to Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR in Moscow, the investigation carried out the identification of the accused by the victims, confrontations and other investigative actions, during which the victims pointed to the person involved as the person who committed the crimes. As a result, Tolibdzhon was sentenced to 12 years in prison in a strict regime colony.
