Japan’s latest heavy rocket fails to take off

The first launch of the newest Japanese heavy rocket H3 did not take place, as the carrier could not get off the ground, TASS reports with reference to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.
The rocket was supposed to take off from the launch pad at the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is noted that the engine of the central block successfully turned on, but the side rocket boosters did not work.
According to Masashi Okada, the head of the launch vehicle development project, the cause of the problem is currently being investigated, they will try to fix it by the next launch attempt.
According to Kyodo, the next launch attempt could take place within the next two weeks.
