“Izhstal” beat “Ermak” and got the third victory in a row

On Thursday Izhevsk “Izhstal” hosted “Ermak” from Angarsk on its ice as part of the regular championship of the Major Hockey League. The hosts won 4-2 thanks to Belyaev’s hat-trick.

“Steelworkers” held three meetings in a row in Izhevsk, all of which won. Izhstal have one game left to play on home ice this year, in which it will face Sokol. According to the analysts of BC Olimp (more about it here), Krasnoyarsk are considered the favorites of the fight – they are also on a winning streak.

The first period of the match with “Ermak” passed with the advantage of the hosts, but without goals. Hockey players of both teams played carefully, not earning deletions. The first penalty was received by the Izhstal players at the beginning of the second third, and it turned out to be a missed puck for the Izhevsk team. The majority goal was scored by Ildar Valeev.

The “steelworkers” responded to the puck of the guests with two: first, Alexander Belyaev equalized the score in equal compositions, and then Ivan Ivanov brought Izhstal ahead in the majority.

In the third period, the situation repeated itself: the hockey players of the Izhevsk club again earned a removal and conceded, but then scored twice in response. Belyaev, who distinguished himself in the second period, chalked up two more effective actions.

Thanks to the victory, Izhstal moved up to 11th place in the VHL standings with 41 points. “Ermak” with 12 points continues to be in last place.
