The editor-in-chief of the Mobile Review portal, Eldar Murtazin, confirmed the words of Telegram founder Pavel Durov that the WhatsApp messenger (owned by Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization in the Russian Federation) is unsafe and has many vulnerabilities.
“Vulnerabilities in WhatsApp really exist, they appear every year and are embedded in the system. There is a feeling that this is done on purpose so that interested parties can follow anyone,” he said in an interview with the radio station “Moscow speaking“.
The expert also called WhatsApp a “leaky” messenger that is outdated technically and morally. According to Murtazin, this messenger should not be used at all, or used on devices that do not store photos, videos, and other personal data of users.
Earlier, Durov said that WhatsApp poses a serious threat to the security of users. According to him, in order to gain access to these hackers, it is enough to start a video call with the user or send him a malicious video.
