Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin approved the project for the future Suvorovskaya station on the Moscow Metro’s Circle Line. It will be built between Novoslobodskaya and Prospekt Mira stations.

“From Suvorovskaya it will be possible to go to the Dostoevskaya station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. Passengers of the light green line will have additional options for traveling around the city. In addition, hauls and interchange stations inside the Circle Line will be partially unloaded,”— wrote Mr. Sobyanin in his Telegram.

According to the mayor, the new station will improve the transport accessibility of the Olimpiysky sports complex, as well as the Meshchansky, Tverskoy and Maryina Roshcha districts. Near Suvorovskaya, a residential building will be built under the renovation program, as well as a public, business and shopping and entertainment center.

“We will put the roads in order, including Olimpiyskiy Prospekt, Suvorovskaya Square, Dostoevsky, Samotechnaya, Soviet Army, Seleznevskaya, Samarskaya and Shchepkina streets. We will equip parking lots and modern ground transport stops,” Sergei Sobyanin added.

In the summer of 2019, the mayor of Moscow announced his intention to resume construction of the Suvorovskaya station, which was designed in the 1950s of the 20th century under the name Ploshad Kommuny. The construction of the station was resumed in February 2022.
