The Tigresses will play the first game of the Major League “B” Championship in Vladivostok next Tuesday

Already on Tuesday, October 17, the preliminary stage of the Russian Championship among women’s volleyball teams of the Major League “B” of the “Siberia” group will start in the country, in which Khabarovsk athletes will also take part starting this year. Women’s volleyball team “Amur Tigresses” was formed this summer. And already in September she won your first trophy – Cup of Siberia and the Far East.

The competition at those competitions was quite serious – those who would have to fight for gold in the Russian Championship also came to Irkutsk. The main competitor is the Dynamo-Vladivostok team from Primorye. Even at the preliminary stage, Tigress, who had previously gone undefeated, lost to the Primorye girls. However, already in the final they were able to pull themselves together and beat Dynamo from Vladivostok; for this, the Khabarovsk team needed four sets.

Now the Tigresses face a more serious test – the Russian Championship. The team’s goals for the season are optimistic: the maximum is to get into the Major League “A”, the minimum is to reach the finals of the competition. In the “Siberia” group, five teams will oppose them: Kuibyshev “Olympus”, Primorsky “Dynamo – Vladivostok”, Barnaul “Altai-AGAU”, Irkutsk “Lokomitiv-Angara” and Chita “Zabaikalka”.

First round of the preliminary stage starts in Vladivostok and will take place from October 17 to 22. The second – in Kuibyshev from November 13 to 19, the third – in Chita from December 18 to 24, the fourth – in Khabarovsk from January 22 to 28, the fifth – in Barnaul from February 19 to 25, and finally the sixth – in Irkutsk from 11 until March 17.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the final stage. The “Final Six” will take place from April 1 to 7 on the field of the first team of the Center group, and from April 22 to 28 on the field of the first team of the Siberia group.
