As American scientists write in their report, too intense sperm production makes it necessary to use additional resources of the male body, so to speak, an emergency reserve that is stored in the body in case of emergencies – serious illnesses, injuries, etc. This leads to a decrease in immunity, a drop in natural ability to resist infections, viruses and diseases caused by them. Excessively frequent and intense sex leads to wear and tear on the body, and also places additional stress on the psyche, nervous and cardiovascular systems, and even causes nervous exhaustion. It can be expressed by a feeling of extreme fatigue, apathy, and emotional swings. Moreover, this applies not only to men, but also to women.
Another problem caused by excessive activity in bed is an imbalance of fluid in the body. Too frequent active sex leads to the loss of a large amount of water (a half-hour intimate act requires approximately the same energy expenditure as running five kilometers). Therefore, doctors recommend drinking less than half a liter of mineral water after each intimate contact – this will replenish the body’s moisture reserves and prevent dehydration.
Another reason that causes loss of strength is a decrease in the hormone testosterone as a result of frequent orgasms. This leads to a decrease in physical activity, and also causes irritability and feelings of depression.
Scientists have also established the number of sexual contacts, exceeding which can have a bad effect on health. Of course, this question is very individual, but on average, the best indicator of active sex is 3-4 contacts per week.
