Singer Kristina Orbakaite herself refused to perform in the Kremlin in honor of International Women’s Day due to an illness. This was reported by IA Regnum.

Earlier, information spread in the media that Orbakaite was supposed to appear on stage at the Kremlin Palace on March 7. Already on the day of the concert, the singer was removed from the list of performing artists. Some publications suggested that the reason for this decision was the harsh statements of her mother, Alla Pugacheva. Activist Vitaly Borodin said that Orbakaite was removed from the list because of his request to include Prima Donna in the register of foreign agents.

The source learned from the organizer of the venue that Orbakaite herself refused to perform at the last moment. The singer reported feeling unwell. Initially, Orbakaite called the organizers on March 6. Then she said that, most likely, she would not be able to perform at the concert due to severe illness. The next day, the singer officially confirmed that she would not attend the event.

“I don’t know whether she was pretending to be sick or not, maybe she was afraid to speak in front of the audience against the backdrop of the news agenda and came up with this method,” said one of the organizers.
