According to information published on the website of the Istanbul City Water Resources and Sewerage Authority (ISKI), the city’s fresh water reserves could disappear in 57 days if there is no rainfall.
Unfortunately, precipitation is not expected in Istanbul in the near future. Temperatures are forecast to be between 22 and 24 degrees.
The total volume of reservoirs is 868 million cubic meters. Currently, the balance is only 180 million cubic meters, as the resource reserves have gradually decreased over the past six months due to drought.
