Israeli troops are storming Palestinian cities in the West Bank, TASS reports citing the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera.
The IDF is reportedly currently conducting raids as well as assaults on the cities of Jenin, Qalqilya and Hebron.
In addition, it is reported that the Israeli military is conducting military operations in settlements located in the vicinity of Nablus and Salfit. The report states that arrests of Palestinians are taking place in these areas.
On the morning of December 1, the Israeli military accused the Palestinian Hamas movement of violating the pause in hostilities, after which they resumed attacks on the Gaza Strip. At the same time, the pause in hostilities also ended on December 1 at 7.00 (8.00 Moscow time), despite preliminary information, it was not officially extended.
The official representative of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric said that the organization calls on Israel and Hamas not to resume fighting in the Gaza Strip. Dujarric noted that the resumption of fighting will only worsen the already deplorable situation in the region. According to him, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is disappointed that fighting is taking place in Gaza again.
