The Israeli military announced the liquidation of the commander of the Hamas Nuseirat unit.
The Israeli military killed the commander of the Palestinian Hamas Nuseirat movement, Ismail Siraj, a corresponding statement was published on the telegram channel of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The unit’s deputy commander was also reportedly killed. The Israeli army used aviation to destroy them.
“Ismail Siraj, commander of the Hamas Nuseirat battalion, as well as Ahmed Wehbe, his deputy, were killed,” the report says.
Earlier it was reported that the Israeli army liquidated the infrastructure of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the north of the Gaza Strip. Currently, IDF units are fighting Hamas militants in the center and south of Gaza. An IDF official said it would take a long time to completely destroy Hamas and promised that active fighting would continue throughout 2024. He also noted that individual Hamas militants may remain in the northern part of Gaza, acting independently, outside of units, so the likelihood of Israeli shelling remains.
