“Didn’t Fulfill Your Dream”
The departure of Irina Miroshnichenko was a big surprise for her friends. The actress died at the age of 82 in the intensive care unit of one of the capital’s hospitals. A friend of the artist, the famous artist Nikas Safronov, told MK about what Miroshnichenko was like in life, as well as about her last dream, which she was never able to fulfill.
– I just can’t believe that Ira is no more, – says Nikas. We were all confident that she would get better. Ira was an amazing person: very kind, gentle, beautiful, and in her youth she was simply irresistible. A wonderful person, a wonderful conversationalist: sincere, non-malicious.
Many famous artists fell in love with her. We met her in the early 90s. Valya Gaft published a book in which there were epigrams for various artists. The epigram on Miroshnichenko was not very flattering, but Ira was pleased that Gaft made her one of the heroines of his book.
We met in a restaurant, and then went to my studio to make a sketch, which was later included in this book. With Ira, we immediately found a common language. We often met at various events and festivals. She lived for work.
During our meetings, Ira often told various funny stories related to cinema and theater. True, her relationship with the cinema has not been very good lately, because there were no directors of her level who could reveal all her facets of talent.
– A few years ago, Ira starred in the sequel to “Winter Cherry,” says Nikas. But the film wasn’t finished. A few years later, director Igor Maslennikov died. I don’t know what the fate of this film is. (The fourth part of “Winter Cherry” under the working title “The Finale of the Family Saga” began filming in 2017 – “MK”).
But Ira really wanted the picture to come out on the screens – it was her dream. I’m worried that this hasn’t happened yet. But the film, I believe, will definitely come out sometime, and we will be able to admire this amazing and very talented actress again.
