The Moscow Electoral Commission held a meeting during which a resolution was adopted to hold voting in the Moscow mayoral elections from September 8 to September 10, 2023.
Secretary of the IPCC Vladimir Popov said that on the Single Voting Day on September 10, as well as on September 8 and 9, voting will be held in the elections of deputies of representative bodies of local self-government of the city of Moscow.
Olga Kirillova, chairwoman of the Moscow City Electoral Commission, said she supported the three-day vote, as it would give voters who, for whatever reason, would not be able to vote over the weekend, to vote.
“As far as I know the information, Muscovites liked this practice,” Kirillova said. She also said that it will be possible to vote both remotely and using paper ballots.
