Shoigu urged to accelerate the delivery of all types of military equipment to the special operation zone

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, during a trip to the troops of the Western Military District (ZVO), called for speeding up the delivery of all types of military equipment to the special operation zone. About it informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.

“The enemy tried to attack today. In only two hours of the first battle, our guys destroyed 30 tanks and 10 infantry fighting vehicles. For two hours of fighting, in the morning. Therefore, this equipment is needed, let’s hurry up,” he told representatives of the industrial enterprise.

During a visit to the troops of the Western Military District, the army general checked at the arsenals and storage bases the preparation of equipment and weapons for shipment to the combat zone. Shoigu also demanded to reduce the time for receiving equipment from enterprises and to prepare it for shipment to units of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation as soon as possible.

The head of the reserve base reported to the minister that the terms for certain types of work had been reduced several times.

In addition, Shoigu drew attention to the quality training and timely dispatch of ammunition and missiles to the troops in the special operation zone. At the arsenal for storing artillery ammunition and missiles, he checked how the maintenance, repair and reloading of ammunition was going.

Earlier today the Secretary of Defense declared about a night attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break through the defenses in the Zaporozhye direction. The enemy was detected in time, and a preemptive strike was delivered on him. According to Shoigu, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were stopped in all four directions. As a result, the enemy lost 350 servicemen, 30 tanks and 11 infantry fighting vehicles. The Armed Forces of Ukraine did not fulfill their task and retreated, Shoigu noted.

The counteroffensive of Ukraine is announced in the winter. Officially, Kyiv did not announce offensive actions, however, earlier today, The Washington Post, citing unnamed Ukrainian servicemen, announced the start of a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian authorities claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting offensive operations since June 4. In the Kremlin before spokethat the counteroffensive does not bring Kyiv the achievement of “set goals”. According to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are “choking”.
