IPC clears Russian Olympic javelin medalist of doping charges

Head of the Russian Paralympic Committee Pavel Rozhkov said TASSThe International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has decided not to bring charges of anti-doping rule violations against two-time Paralympic javelin medalist Alexey Kuznetsov.
Mr. Rozhkov said that the charges were brought forward on the basis of the LIMS database of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory. He noted that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency may appeal against this decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
42-year-old Alexey Kuznetsov is a silver medalist in the javelin throw at the Paralympic Games in London (2012) and Tokyo (2020). He is also a world and European champion in this sport.
