Arm wrestling competitions started in Orel

A solemn opening ceremony of the Russian arm wrestling championship and championship among persons with disabilities took place in Orel. The event brought together more than 160 athletes from 25 regions of the country who will compete for the title of the strongest armwrestler.
Competitors will demonstrate their skills and strength to become part of the national team, which will subsequently represent Russia at international tournaments.
According to information from the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Oryol Region, important sports figures graced the opening ceremony with an honorary presence. Among them: acting the head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Oryol Region Dmitry Savin, the president of the FAR Alexander Filimonov, the first vice-president of the FAR Andrey Petrov and the head of the committee for the development of the FAR PARA – arm wrestling Vadim Rabinovich.
