Investigators have identified the remains of victims of the Il-76 plane crash near Belgorod
The investigation has identified the remains of victims of the crash of an Il-76 military transport aircraft in the Belgorod region. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports this.
It is reported that in total, more than 670 fragments of the bodies of the victims were discovered and seized in the area of the aircraft crash. It is indicated that the genetic material of prisoners is taken without fail, and therefore the data was for all people on board.
The results of genetic testing showed that the seized body fragments belonged to 6 crew members, 3 military police officers and 65 Ukrainian soldiers who died in the crash.
Earlier, Head of State Vladimir Putin said that on January 24, an Il-76 was shot down by a Patriot air defense system.
