In Belgorod, 421 public transport stops have been strengthened. 72 of them were reinforced with sandbags, 149 with concrete blocks, and 200 with modular structures that the Ministry of Defense uses to protect personnel.

“This work will continue, it is also being carried out in the Shebekinsky district, Grayvoronsky, Valuysky, Belgorod districts. Of course, I really want all the measures taken to be of no use, but if an emergency does occur, I really hope that these protective structures will play their role. As it already happened in Shebekino in June 2023,” wrote Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on his page “In contact with”.

Strengthening public transport stops began in Belgorod after massive shelling of the city by Ukraine at the end of last year. December 30 as a result of explosions in the regional center died 25 people, more than 100 more were injured. On the night of January 4, ten Ukrainian missiles were shot down over Belgorod, after which two people were hospitalized with injuries; in addition, more than 30 cars were damaged due to the attack.

Shelling of the Belgorod region continues. Today, February 1, two air targets were shot down in the Yakovlevsky urban district. According to the governor, there were no injuries or damage. Yesterday, a resident of the village of Bogun-Gorodok, Borisov district, received shrapnel wounds as a result of a kamikaze drone strike.
