International freestyle competitions (ski acrobatics) will be held at the Podolino ski center in the Yaroslavl municipal district. The sports festival “Champions Cup” is scheduled for February 29. On the last day of the calendar winter, team competitions will be held, individual races will take place on March 1. The awards ceremony will take place on the first day of spring.
Despite the fact that there is still a month and a half before the competition, everything in Podolino is already ready to receive athletes and spectators. The springboard and slope are ready. The infrastructure for spectators is being prepared.
You can become a spectator at these spectacular competitions completely free of charge. According to the regional government website, for this you need to register on the russiarunning.com platform and receive an individual QR code from February 1 to 22. It must be presented at the competition site along with your passport and you will receive a special fan bracelet.
“We are the supporting region for the development of freestyle in the country and adequately represent it at competitions at various levels. Six of the eight athletes of the main Russian national team in the discipline “acrobatics” are from Yaroslavl – students of sports school No. 3 named after V.I. Rusanova. Therefore, the audience will definitely have someone to cheer for during the competition,” commented the governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev, on the upcoming events.
