August 26, 2022 at the Cultural and Educational Center, park-museum “ETNOMIR” a solemn ceremony of laying the stone for construction ethnic courtyard “Indonesia”. The project is being implemented with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation, the International Foundation “Dialogue of Cultures – One World”, the Russian Association for International Cooperation (RAMS), the Friendship Society of Russia and Indonesia.
The ceremony was attended by:
- Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Anatolyevich Shevtsov;
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation Jose Antonio Morato Tavares;
- Anatoly Dmitrievich Artamonov, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets;
- RAMS General Secretary Vladimir Mikhailovich Polozkov;
- Chairman of the Presidium of the RAMS Sergei Vyacheslavovich Kalashnikov;
- members of the Board of Trustees of the Friendship Society of Russia and Indonesia;
- management and employees of KOTC “ETNOMIR”;
- representatives of the business community and public organizations;
- students from Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.
Within the framework of the event, a business lunch was held with a presentation of projects, an exchange of views on the prospects for cooperation between Russia and Indonesia, speeches were made by official representatives, and a creative team performed in front of the audience with a concert program.
Southeast Asia park “ETNOMIR” is already represented by the houses of Myanmar, Indonesia and other countries of the region in the “Around the World” pavilion, the ethno-hotel “South-East Asia” with rich interiors and rooms. In the summer of 2022, the Myanmar Cultural Center became available for visiting. To date, the plans include the construction of the ethno-court “Indonesia” with a central pavilion, executed in the architectural traditions of the island state and decorated with national ornaments. It is planned to equip a public space, an amphitheater for concert performances, allocate premises for theater and art studios, workshops (including for batik, which is popular in Indonesia). art of painting on fabric), a hall for demonstrating the traditional Indonesian Wayang folk theater and much more.
August 26 was the day of the start of the project for the construction of the ethnoyard “Indonesia” in ETHNOMIR, aimed at establishing mutual understanding and cooperation between the countries.
