On Sunday, September 17, a meeting took place at the Volgograd Arena stadium as part of the 10th round of the national football championship among clubs of the Second League “A” of the “Gold” division. At home, Rotor hosted the capital’s Veles team. The game ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of the Volgograd team.
In the first minutes of the match, the blue-blues seized the initiative on the field. Despite this, in the 4th minute of the match the guests managed to send the ball into the hosts’ net. However, the goal was disallowed due to offside.
The Veles players were inspired and took control of the ball. It bore fruit. In the 10th minute, Muscovite footballer Gevork Sargsyan sent a projectile directly into the top nine.
Rotor managed to win back in just 5 minutes. The team’s new recruit, Mikhail Ageev, distinguished himself.
And in the 33rd minute of the meeting, the Volgograd team took the lead. Daniil Arsentiev, after a through ball from Philip Dvoretsky, accurately directed the ball into Timur Akmurzin’s goal.
By the end of the first forty-five minutes, the Rotor players literally locked the opponents in their penalty area, but the hosts failed to develop their advantage in the score.
At the beginning of the second half, the visiting players took possession of the ball, and in the 49th minute they managed to level the situation in the match. Alexander Shubin, responding to Evgeniy Makeev’s pass, equalized the score.
The Volgograd team managed to take the lead in the middle of the second half of the match. In the 55th and 65th minutes, Ramazan Gadzhimuradov scored two goals.
Until the end of the game, players from both teams made attempts to excel. But in the end, the spectators who came to the stands that day did not see any more goals.
