In the Volgograd region, the antimonopoly service has declared unethical sound advertising distributed on buses passing by Volgograd State University. About it reported in the press service of the FAS.
We are talking about advertising one of the institutions of the city. When the buses passed by the university, the saloons sounded: “Don’t know where to go after the institute? Definitely – dance on the bar and disappear until the morning! After all, we will teach you how to rock at parties! Remember the address… 18+”.
Residents complained about the advertisement, saying that it was inappropriate in public transport and sounds very loud.
The Expert Council for the Enforcement of Advertising Legislation at the Volgograd Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (UFAS) concluded that the audio material is addressed, among other things, to underage advertising consumers and “inculcates immoral standards of youth behavior, and also forms in children an idea of the standards and norms of youth behavior. Advertising is obscene, and its distribution in public transport does not comply with the current norms of morality and morality.
As a result, the advertisement was found to be inappropriate, violating Part 6 of Art. 5 (ethical requirements for advertising) and part 6 of Art. 20 (ban on the distribution of sound advertising on transport) of the law on advertising.
“The case materials will be submitted for initiating an administrative case against the advertiser and the advertising distributor. In accordance with the requirements of the law, the advertiser will be responsible for unethical advertising, and advertising distributors will also be responsible for the distribution of sound advertising in the passenger compartment of the bus,” the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service specified.
