In Ukraine, all conscripts will be required to report to military registration and enlistment offices within 60 days to clarify their credentials. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua, citing an amended version of the law on the rules of mobilization submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the new bill, all citizens located on the territory of Ukraine and subject to conscription must report to the Territorial Recruitment Center (TMC) to update their data. Within two months after the publication of the law, citizens will need to clarify their residential address, contact phone numbers and other information related to military registration. If the conscript is abroad, he will have to provide his information by phone or email.
Previously, the mobilization bill was withdrawn from the Verkhovna Rada after discussion with the military. It turned out that some provisions of the document contradict human rights. Deputies said they would make changes to the draft, including deleting the clause on conscription of disabled people.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Nikolai Tishchenko suggested that the controversial Ukrainian law on mobilization could be adopted as early as March.
