In Ukraine, they talked about the scandalous supplier of jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Turkish company Vector avia hava araçlari, which supplied jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at an inflated price, had previously been repeatedly convicted of criminal cases, RIA Novosti writes with reference to the Ukrainian media.

At the same time, among its owners was the nephew of a member of the committee on national security, defense and intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party.

Even before the scandal, several criminal cases were already underway against the company, charges were brought against the owner and director of the company.

According to media reports, a contract signed with a Turkish company in the fall of 2022 suggested that jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were to be camouflage. But on the border with Ukraine, they became “winter air-protective” and tripled in price.

Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov, amid accusations from his department of buying summer jackets instead of winter ones, offered a bet, the Politika strany telegram channel reports. He promised to resign from his position if the media reports about jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine turn out to be true. At the same time, if the accusations are not confirmed, then the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the head of the anti-corruption policy committee, Anastasia Radina, must surrender her mandate, and the journalist Mikhail Tkach, who collected materials on this story, will have to leave journalism for 3 years. The Ministry of Defense previously acknowledged “minor” shortcomings with this uniform. Prior to this, the department declared its non-participation in the purchase.
