The obituary clarifies that Vasilkov died “during his combat mission along with his colleagues who were guarding the skies over Ukraine.” In the photo attached to the post, the man stands in front of the launcher of the American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.
Earlier it became known that on March 9, the Russian military destroyed Ukrainian air defense systems in the Pokrovsk region in the DPR. The strike was carried out under two Patriot air defense systems.
