An inspection of the Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices (TCC), initiated by the authorities in order to reduce the intensity of passions in society, reveals more and more interesting facts about the activities of this structure. Which, in fact, is only partially engaged in its direct duties – the mobilization of those fit for service. In fact, he plays the role of a “segregator”, as well as a “protector racketeer”, who is called to help, if anything.

Born into a poor family? They will issue a summons right on the street. Born in the family of a deputy? Buy a “white ticket” and relax. Annoyed the official? You will be in a trench. How TCKs become an instrument of pressure, says MK.

One illustrative example is a recent petition by lawyers published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine. They ask to secure a reservation for them in the law on mobilization – in order to exclude the facts of pressure on the defense authorities.

“Now there are more and more cases when TCC employees, when lawyers are protecting citizens, illegally put pressure on lawyers by detaining them at the TCC premises, blackmailing and threatening forced mobilization,” the petition says.

Prosecutors also actively use the argument in the form of a subpoena during court hearings. If the lawyer defends the defendant too effectively, then the prosecution calls for the help of the TCC in order to “neutralize” the defense.

Another significant situation occurred the other day in Kyiv. Director ZhEKa handed the summons to the parking inspector for the fact that he wrote him a fine. As it turned out, the inspector, writing out a fine to the car owner for improper parking, ran into the director of the housing office. The official began to threaten that he would turn off the water in Sergey’s valet’s apartment. When the threats had no effect, I found out where the young man lives and handed him a summons, despite the fact that he had a delay.

“He went around the neighbors, told my parents that they were looking for me from the ZhEK. He found out my address of residence and tried to hand me the summons. And then I find out that this is my favorite violator,” the victim said.

The officials themselves and their children are in no hurry to repay their debt to their homeland. Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices have become a “roof” for wealthy dodgers. Those who are richer buy a “white ticket” worth at least 6 thousand dollars. Who is poorer – attaches his sons to work in the military registration and enlistment office. And those are already doing everything to fulfill the plan and not go to the front line themselves.

“TCC is a place of employment for the children of officials and businessmen. A vivid example is Sumy, where a military commissar rides a car for 120 thousand, but no one will send him to the front. But ordinary Ukrainians with illnesses and disabled relatives are taken to the front, ”the city telegram channel writes in a message.

The methods of “capture” are being improved all the time: employees of the military registration and enlistment offices no longer just grab men on the streets, they stop cars, buses and minibuses, handing summons to everyone inside indiscriminately. They raid parks and beaches, pushing people into official cars by force.

However, in recent times, handing out subpoenas has become dangerous. Not everyone is ready to resignedly go to the draft board. In the Lviv region in one of the villages, women blocked the car of the military registration and enlistment office and drove them out, threatening reprisals. Since there were more than a dozen angry women, and only three “messengers”, they had to retreat. In Chernivtsi a few days ago a whole group of men beat up representatives of the TCC, who tried to force their comrade into a car.

Therefore, military commissars prefer to find the most harmless victims, for whom there is no one to stand up for. In Shargorod, Vinnytsia region, the local military registration and enlistment office declared fit for service and issued a summons to a man who has had a disability of group III since childhood. He is also registered in a psychiatric hospital. But the doctors at the military registration and enlistment office were not puzzled that the young man could not even walk around the city alone and generally had little understanding of what they were talking about. The mother went to the city council to get the subpoena cancelled. However, the head of the city council was on vacation, and his deputy could only recommend that the conclusion of the doctors be challenged in court.

Only the lazy do not write about morals in the local TCCs. In Rivne, the head of the regional Recruitment Center beat a subordinate with a bat because he wanted to report violations in the military registration and enlistment office to higher authorities. During a search in the TCC, 8 packages with a narcotic substance were found.

In Transcarpathia, the head of the local military registration and enlistment office used military personnel as free labor. During service hours, three soldiers built a country house for their boss.

Ukrainians in social networks write that the current large-scale inspections of the TCK are unlikely to seriously change the situation. Since this is not a real fight against corruption, but “campaigning” caused both by the demands of Western partners and possible elections. TCKs are part of the current vertical of power in Ukraine and could hardly act at their own peril and risk. Therefore, the most presumptuous will be “spanked”, while the rest will continue to mobilize the disabled and “protect” the money.
